Zoho People 5.0 is Here: The All-new Comprehensive Software Suite

Amol Pawar, July 11, 2024October 13, 2024

Zoho has just rolled out its all-new Zoho People 5.0 and I was one of the first to get an inside view of the features and functionalities (the perks of being an authorized partner!)

Zoho People 5.0 is truly an enterprise-grade platform with the necessary security, scalability, and stability built in. The Zoho platform comes with out-of-the-box product features while also providing you the flexibility to build custom forms, workflows, roles, and even apps.

Did I hear you ask about AI and ML, well Zoho is the first HR tech platform that comes with its micro AI models built for HR use cases, and guess what with your IT team’s support you can even build AI models that can be trained for your data. Yes!!

The Zoho People 5.0 platform is truly built to transform the employee, manager and HR experience with HR technology. So if you are still wondering which HR tech platform to evaluate and or switch to, look no further.

In this blog, I will be sharing my firsthand observations and experiences of Zoho People 5.0.

One word I would use to describe the newest version of Zoho People 5.0  is “Par-excellence.’

If you have been facing operational issues with the earlier version, this one will be the ultimate antidote. If you have had a seamless experience with the earlier versions, this one will only improve things – just like Zoho promises to help you level up your HR game!

And, if you are still contemplating and have not yet chosen a particular HR Tech suite, I strongly recommend Zoho People 5.0.

The good thing is that you can get a free trial – so you know how the product works even before you pay for it. Alternatively, you can also speak to us at Nuest Consulting and use our expertise in this field to understand how it all works and what you gain from it.

My Perspective, First.

After thoroughly exploring the new platform, I am genuinely impressed. The design and development team at Zoho has excelled, addressing every possible area of improvement in one go.

This upgrade isn’t just about adding new features; it’s about simplifying and decluttering the experience for end-users, administrators, and decision-makers.

This is the essence of HR Tech—making processes easier, reducing manual work, and streamlining operations so that HR can function as a strategic partner in organizational success, rather than just a support service.

Let’s dive into the highlights of Zoho People 5.0.

The New 5.0 Features

The latest version focuses primarily on enhancing user-friendliness and bolstering security.

  • Robust Collaborative Workspace: Introducing Space, featuring MySpace, Team, and Organization Space with an integrated quick chat window.
  • Services Feature: Streamlines daily operations and processes with integrated tools for attendance, timesheets, embedded chat, custom employee engagement surveys, and helpdesk support.
  • New Services Feature: Includes a connected Compensation Management tool and a sandbox environment for safer testing.
  • Settings: New tabs designed to help you perform daily tasks quickly and effortlessly.

How Is Your Organization Going to Benefit Further From 5.0 Features?

  • A dedicated self-service portal with Space where personalized dashboards help employees be on top of their metrics, be it their attendance, profile, performance, and so on.
  • Centralized dashboard for managerial visibility offering complete drill-down of individual team members.
  • With Organization Spaces, everyone stays in tune with company-wide activities, announcements, policies, and hierarchies.
  • Managing a hybrid team is easy and simple using the new Spaces feature. It surely gives an edge to your team efforts and the collaborative workspace.
  • The Services feature enables efficient daily task management, everyday employee experiences, and engagement to get a boost.
  • With compensation management, organizations can drive transparent and fair pay structures.
  • The sandbox environment helps test simulated use cases in isolation as experiments before going live, helping save time and money.
  • With one-time configuration, you can use the Setting feature to help you maximize tabs for your day-to-day work. It also offers enhanced security with user access synced with their settings.

My Verdict?

Zoho People 5.0 offers features and capabilities that are different from any you’ve encountered before. It’s designed to enhance your HR management experience, but understanding how to leverage its full potential is key.

That’s where Nuest Consulting can assist. Our team brings the expertise and experience necessary to help you integrate these new tools effectively and efficiently.

This transition has the potential to dynamically transform your HR operations. If you’re considering a system update or want to better understand how Zoho People 5.0 can impact your organization, we’re here to help.
